Chapter 15 - Dread
I woke up.
I was sweating. I was panting. I had just woken up from my nightmare.
I got up and headed into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"What's wrong, honey?"
I turned to see that Judy had followed me into the kitchen.
"Nothing, just that nightmare again," I replied.
Judy hugged me and whispered into my ear, "We won't disappear, James. We won't."
My recurring nightmare, the one where I just randomly disappear because of a time paradox. The one where Judy and Stephanie disappear because of a time paradox. I had been having it for weeks since Matthew's death.
I hugged Judy back, "Thanks, Judy. Go back to bed, I'm just going to finish this glass of water."
She nodded and kissed me before going back to sleep.
I sat there and sipped my water, trying to get over the dreaded feeling that my nightmare had left me.
